Privacy Policy
This policy explains how selected files are processed and how FileLivo uses website settings and analytics information.
PDF and image processing
PDF editing, compression and password protection, image editing, conversion and compression, and conversion between images and PDFs run in your browser. Selected PDFs, images, and watermark files are not uploaded to or stored on a processing server, or sent to an external file-processing API.
Selected files and working data are used in browser memory. Resetting, replacing files, or leaving a tool releases the associated temporary resources. Files you download remain on your device; FileLivo does not delete them.
Image re-encoding and metadata
Editing, converting, or compressing an image can re-encode it and change its quality, transparency, or metadata. The metadata removal tool creates a copy without metadata such as EXIF, GPS, and camera information.
Removing metadata does not hide or anonymize faces, addresses, or document details visible in the picture. Review both the image itself and the output file before sharing.
Language settings and email inquiries
Your manual language choice is stored in browser localStorage for later visits. File processing does not require an account, name, or email address.
If you send an email through the contact link, your sender address and message are delivered through email providers. Do not include sensitive source files or passwords. Privacy questions can also be sent to the existing email address on Contact.
Google Analytics
On filelivo.com and www.filelivo.com, Google Analytics 4 runs only after you allow analytics, to understand visits, page usage, and tool usage. Before permission or while declined, no analytics tag is loaded and no analytics request is sent. You can use every tool if you decline.
Only your choice, its timestamp, and the consent wording version are stored in this browser’s localStorage. The choice is valid for 180 days, an operational setting rather than a statutory retention period. Expired or unreadable records are treated as no permission.
After you allow analytics, GA cookies and online identifiers may be used to produce visit and usage statistics.
Use Privacy settings at the bottom of any page to allow or decline at any time. Withdrawal stops future collection and clears accessible first-party GA cookies; it does not delete analytics data already sent. Your files and tool results are not reset.
This choice is for Analytics and does not replace an advertising-certified CMP. A local record alone is not a guarantee of complete legal evidence. How Google uses data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
PDF and image files, filenames, contents, sizes, watermark text and images, email addresses, and other inputs are not sent in analytics events. Tool-event parameters are limited to language, tool name, and success status.
Advertising
FileLivo does not currently display Google AdSense ads or use AdSense advertising scripts or advertising cookies. Before introducing ads, we will update this policy to describe the actual data processing and relevant choices.
