Split PDF

Choose a PDF to split

Select one PDF to open page previews and range controls.

🔒 Your file and page contents never leave this device.

Keep only what you need

Two split modes are included

Collect selected pages into one PDF in the requested order, or create a separate PDF for every selected page. Previews load in small batches to reduce device strain.

A practical example

To keep pages 3 through 5 from a 20-page report, enter 3-5. Use 1,3,5 for separate pages, or combine ranges and single pages as 1-3,5.

Check your result

Extracting 3-5 into one file should produce a three-page PDF. If you split into individual files instead, open each download and match it to the intended source page.

Keep in mind for this task

  • Ranges refer to physical positions in the PDF, not printed page numbers. Covers and contents pages can offset the numbering, so check the previews first.

Frequently asked questions about splitting PDFs

Is my file sent to a server?

No. Reading, preview rendering, splitting, and download generation all happen inside your browser.

Which page formats can I enter?

You can use 1, 1-3, 1,3,5, or 1-3,5,8-10.

Can I split password-protected PDFs?

Password-protected PDFs are not supported yet. Please try again with an unlocked copy.

Are advanced PDF structures preserved?

Ordinary visible page content is retained, but digital signatures, bookmarks, forms, attachments, layers, some annotations, and special metadata may not be preserved completely. Splitting a signed PDF can invalidate its existing digital signature.
