How to use this tool
- Choose one PDF and wait for page analysis to finish.
- Check the page range, output format and DPI. If an automatic adjustment is reported, review the selected resolution.
- Check text and page order in the results, then download individual images or a ZIP.
What you get
Each selected page produces a separate image. In general, 144 DPI gives twice the width and height of 72 DPI, or four times as many pixels. Outputs include JPG, PNG and WebP where the browser supports it.
Before you start
- Higher DPI or unusually large PDF pages need more memory. On mobile and other constrained devices, a lower DPI may be chosen automatically. Processing stays blocked if even 72 DPI exceeds the safety limit.
- A manually chosen DPI is not automatically lowered again. If blocked, adjust DPI or page range. Lowering the quality slider alone does not resolve rendering-memory limits.
Common questions
How does DPI differ from JPG quality?
DPI sets how many pixels are rendered from a page. JPG quality controls compression when saving those pixels; they are separate settings.
Is it normal for 144 DPI to change to 72 DPI?
Yes, if analysis finds that the current setting exceeds device limits. Auto mode can select a suitable supported DPI, but does not lower every ordinary PDF to 72 DPI.
Will PDF links and text search still work?
No. The visible page becomes a picture. PDF links, selectable text and editable form fields are not retained.
