How to use this tool
- Choose your images. Files that this browser cannot decode cannot be processed.
- Pick an enabled output: JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or BMP. Unsupported outputs are disabled.
- Process and open the downloaded file to check its background, colors and detail.
What you get
You get a new file in the selected format. JPG is lossy; transparent areas become white when converting PNG to JPG. BMP output is 24-bit and does not preserve transparency.
Before you start
- Availability of outputs such as WebP and AVIF depends on the browser’s actual encoding support. Being able to view AVIF does not necessarily mean being able to save it.
- This is not a universal converter for HEIC/HEIF, TIFF, GIF, ICO and every other format. Animation, color profiles and metadata are not guaranteed to survive.
Common questions
Is JPG different from JPEG?
They refer to the same image format. JPG results here use the .jpg extension.
Which format should I use for a transparent logo?
Choose PNG to retain transparency. The white background in a JPG cannot be converted back into the original transparency.
Why is WebP or AVIF disabled?
The browser was found unable to create that output format. Select another enabled format.
